5 Of Our Favorite Nutritious Energy Bar Companies

BlogImage-Cropped-Horizontal.jpg

Get excited because this month, we’re celebrating National Nutrition Month! This means we’ll be recommending some of our favorite nutritious brands so that you can not only eat some yummy food but also be healthy. This week we’re focusing on protein and energy bars. It can be hard to get motivated to eat something that’s nutritious if it doesn’t taste the best, but worry no longer, because here are five of our favorite and treasured energy bars.

1. Aloha

Looking for a nutritional protein bar that’s also good for the planet? Look no further! Aloha is a certified B Corporation as well as Non-GMO Project Verified. This means that Aloha bars not only satisfy your tastebuds but also positively affect people and the planet. Also, if you’re looking for an energy bar that’s allergen-friendly, Alohas are gluten, dairy and soy-free (as well as vegan) which is very exciting! We love finding options for individuals that may have allergies.

2. RXBAR

RXBAR is built upon transparency. If you’ve ever spent any amount of time trying to figure out what it is you’re actually eating, you probably realized it was harder than you thought. Everything that’s in an RX bar is listed right on the front of the bar — no fumbling to see if it’s healthy, no confusion on what you’re eating, no hassle. RX protein bars are gluten-free and made from whole ingredients.

3. Larabar

Lemon blueberry muffin, apple cobbler and key lime coconut pie — I don’t know about you but these flavor profiles sound amazing to me. Larabar offers up a plethora of protein bars with an array of different flavors to choose from, not to mention that they’re all plant-based, too! If you’re looking for a protein bar that’s nutritious but also follows certain allergen criteria, Larabar offers a comprehensive section on their website dedicated to allergens. It shows you which ones are dairy-free, kosher, gluten-free and more.

4. Zing

Have you ever wondered just how nutritious your energy bar is? Well, Zing was created by nutrition experts dedicated to the mission of tasty nutrition. Zing bars include three main things: good carbs, good fats and high protein. These protein bars are also gluten-free, soy-free, vegan and non-GMO, and are made with the intention of slow digestion so that you can rely on consistent energy for hours after you’ve finished eating.

5. Bobo’s

You may know Bobo’s for its notorious oat bar, made with the intention to satisfy your hunger for hours after eating. Recently though, Bobo’s came out with a new bar — the protein bar! These bars are plant-based, gluten-free, and baked in my beautiful hometown of Boulder, Colorado. If you haven’t tried one of these I highly recommend it, they taste amazing and leave you full for hours (so you can focus on whatever tasks you need to get done).

Don’t sleep on these companies! Visit them to find some amazing options for good-tasting, healthy and energy-providing protein bars.

Thanks for taking the time to read this post. We hope to see you again next week for a roundup of our top 5 nutritious drinks!
